Banking break up proposal is ‘short sighted ‘despite it working for Margaret Thatcher

BRITISH banks have and financial operations have come under scrutiny recently, with the All-Party Group on Challenger Banks and Building Societies calling on the government to look into breaking up the major banks to drive more competition in the market. This recommendation, as to be expected, has brought with it many responses and criticisms.
