KURT COBAIN and Axl Rose hated each other. The lead singers of Nirvana and Guns N Roses, respectively, infamously clashed backstage at the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards. The pair’s beef was notorious in rock circles and quickly escalated into a bitter rivalry, with Cobain claiming GNR had “nothing to say”.
