Services and retail power UK pick-up

Britain’s economy has recovered from its slow start to the year, data from the Office For National Statistics is expected to show on Friday. It will say that UK gross domestic product grew by 0.4 per cent during the second quarter, double the rate in the first, which saw economic activity disrupted by the weather.
