PAINSWICK is known as the Queen of the Cotswolds, and it’s not difficult to see why. Situated a stone’s throw away from the picturesque Cotswold Way path, the town’s peaceful streets are lined with cosy cafés, traditional pubs, independent shops, and a churchyard renowned for its 99 yew trees. It is even home to the oldest bowling green in England.
