Elvis funeral: Pallbearer on ‘heavy casket’, attempts to steal body and ‘strange’ moment

ELVIS PRESLEY’s funeral took place 45 years ago and his cousin Billy Smith, the last surviving original Memphis Mafia member, and his wife Jo have spoken out on that “heavy casket” rumour and the remarkable moment he witnessed with the family during a private service at Memphis mausoleum. The pallbearer also admitted that The Kings’ father Vernon had to deal with an attempt to steal his son’s body.
