Pound euro exchange rate rises on potential Brexit extension

The pound euro exchange rate rose by 0.6 percent today, with the pairing currently trading around €1.129 on renewed hopes for an extension beyond the October 31 Brexit deadline. This follows official EU commentary describing Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s proposal for a new deal as not “even remotely” acceptable.
