Putin thanks Wagner private army for ‘liberating’ Bakhmut

The Russian defence ministry claims that the Wagner private army has finally seized the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut with the support of Russian artillery and aviation. Ukrainian authorities said fighting was continuing in the long and bloody battle for the city.
