Star Wars: Darth Vader star Dave Prowse almost played Chewbacca at George Lucas’ request

STAR WARS fans today learned of the loss of the original Darth Vader actor, Dave Prowse – but they may not have known he was originally supposed to be playing Chewbacca in the series before he turned it down.
