Star Wars: George Lucas was told he would ‘DESTROY’ series with The Phantom Menace

STAR WARS delved into the prequel trilogy in 1999, and began telling the long and complex story of Anakin Skywalker’s fall from grace into becoming Darth Vader. George Lucas has now revealed that, initially, he was told telling Anakin’s story would “destroy the franchise”.
