BERNARD CORNWELL, 73, is the author of the Sharpe novels which were made into a TV series starring Sean Bean. His books about Saxon England, The Last Kingdom, have also been adapted for television. The second series is being shown on BBC Two on Thursdays at 9pm. Daily Express :: Books Feed
