The Beatles: Paul McCartney’s banned protest song written for Northern Ireland

THE BEATLES star Sir Paul McCartney felt compelled to write a protest song in 1972 after the Bloody Sunday incident in Ireland. The track was deemed “too inflammatory” for the public and banned from being played in the United Kingdom.
